The error message says it all...

"KConfigIni: In file /usr/share/kubuntu-default-settings/kde4-profile/default/share/config/kickoffrc, line 3: " Invalid entry (missing '=')           

Startup proceeds normally, but I noticed this in the process of working on another bug.  On line 3 there is a solitary character:  'k'.

We do not provide that file, but kubuntu does.
Please report the kubuntu-specific problem to them.
