Too bad because the backtrace is not really complete, and it seems the situation can't be reproduced at will all the times; you need to install the "kdebase-workspace-dbg" package in order to get a complete one the next time. Thanks for reporting ok, thanks for looking at this Dario. I've got the -dbg package installed now, and I'll post back here next time I get a backtrace. waiting for backtrace Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Application that crashed: kwin Version of the application: 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2)) KDE Version: 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2)) Qt Version: 4.5.1 Operating System: Linux 2.6.28-13-generic x86_64 Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04 What I was doing when the application crashed: About 2/3 times that I quit the game Savage 2 (free to download), my computer just hangs. Ctrl+Alt+Backspace does nothing, as does ctrl+alt+delete. Usually sysrq+RSEINUB works but Ctrl+alt+F1 doesn't. This time Ctrl+alt+f1 *did* work, then when I ctrl+alt+f7'd back in everything was extremely laggy so I ctrl+alt+esc'd the window and a few seconds later kwin went down and the crash reporter came up. I'm on: Kubuntu Jaunty AMD64 +KDE 4.3RC2 + FGLRX 9.4 Compositing was turned off. I had the game to *not* use fullscreen I have an autohide panel. -- Backtrace: Application: KWin (kwin), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #5 *__GI___libc_free (mem=0x1ac80001) at malloc.c:3599 #6 0x00007fa0a7cba999 in XFree () from /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 #7 0x00007fa0aade3d37 in ??
