A "Start new chat with ..." able to start a chat session by typing in the address / screen name of the contact.  Where possible the entry field should display potential matches (krunner type lookahead) including offline users.

Justification:
Sending messages to an invisible user requires turning on show offline users to be able to search / start new chat.
Also, with whole organisation jabber rosters, the contact list becomes useless for keeping tabs on a select few users online status' if the organisation group needs to be left "open" to view search results - this problem is compounded when users become invisible too.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
