Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Testcase:
http://www.gtalbot.org/BrowserBugsSection/Konqueror4Bugs/display-list-item-with-image.html

Actual results in Konqueror 4.2.4: the K logo image does not show, is not rendered

Expected results: the K logo image should be shown, should be rendered

Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.5, Opera 9.64 and Safari 4.0.2 pass this test.

Confirmed with KDE 4.4.5

(even if I ever suggest not to use list-style-image but background-image with no repeat and with background-position:0 50%)

Because of persistent incompatibilites between implementations, the constraints on the position of 'outside' markers are relaxed for some values of 'text-align' and in the presence of floats. This will be fixed in a future specification.

So, it seems that there is no strict requirement to pass this testcase in order to be fully compliant with the CSS 2.1 specification. I will leave this bug report open though as it can eventually apply to CSS 3.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
