Description jonbugskde 2009-07-14 18:30:15 UTC
Version: 2.2.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

1. Open a new instance of konsole
2. Input a command with output (date, cat /var/log/messages, TAB completion, etc.)
3. Hit return
4. Often no output will be displayed
5. Various events (hitting return a second time, changing focus to another application and back) will cause the output to be displayed

This is on the standard KDE package installed with Ubuntu 9.0.4 amd64. Similar problems do not occur with GNOME Terminal. In general, I like konsole much better and would prefer to use it, but this bug is a real problem when trying to tail log files for development purposes.

Have you tried a newer version such as 4.5.x or even 4.6.x?
