Actually, this is looking more like a general internationalization problem. If the application language is switched to Hebrew from English then directionality seems to work OK. However when switched back to English, directionality is screwed up again. Eli, there is no way for changing the paragraph direction in KMail. We need to add support for paragraph direction in KRichTextEdit K then..... is this being planeed? It kinda seems like an obvious thing to do if you want to fully support languages. PATCH 1/2
The following patch add an RTL button for KRitchText. I added a dummy button icon for both direction, but when the patch is to be applied to kdelibs the oxygen artists need to be aproached.
This patches kdelibs only.

PATCH 2/2
This patch should be applied *after* kdelibs-krichtext-dir-support. In theory you should see a new set of buttons. In practice, I don't see anything.
non working patches are attached to this bug report. i am not sure why they don't work, but they are a good start. Filed a bug report under Fedora at bugzilla. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=526323 So how do we proceed. Seems to be fixed in 4.5.1 Closing then. This still works in KMail2 |
