Description Martin Koller 2009-07-13 21:36:05 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2)) "release 142", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.23-0.1-pae

In kmail/KDE3 I could simply select any message in a folder and when I clicked on another folder and coming back to the previous one, the last clicked message was always the one kmail selected when entering a folder.

In kmail/KDE4 this seems now a little broken, as it works only when the messages are all marked as read - but when I have a folder with unread mails (which is common on folders which hold mailing list messages), the first unread mail is selected and not the last one I looked at.
This is very inconvenient.

Please restore the old KDE3 behaviour.
Thanks.

Please check the configuration, in the Misc section, the option: "When entering a Folder" and set it to "Jump to Last Selected Mail".

Plase close this bug it this solves your problem.

Thanks for the hint, this solves it. I'm migrating from KDE3 and obviously this setting was not reused from the previous kmailrc.
