Description greatbunzinni 2009-07-12 18:10:37 UTC
Version:           4.3 RC2 (using KDE 4.2.96)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Some usenet posts/emails are written to take advantage of fixed width fonts to be able to convey certain messages (small diagrams, ASCII art, etc...). Therefore it's useful to be able to display the articles in fixed width fonts. Nonetheless, fixed width fonts aren't necessarily the best fonts to read all sorts of text. So, in order to get the best of both worlds, it would be great if knode offered a way to toggle between a fixed width font and a non-fixed width font.

There is already a feature which is labelled as "use fixed font", which is available not only through the "view" menu and right-click menu but also through the X keyboard shortcut. Nonetheless, that feature doesn't appear to do anything.

The "use fix font" feature do work as expected.
Are you sure, you are not using a customized font for fixed text of message (in configuration > appearance) ?

Odd. Back here it doesn't do anything.

Yes, the Configure->Appearance->fonts dialog doesn't have a check in the "Use custom fonts" option.

Correction: Configure->Appearance->Customize visual appearance

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
