Description Dante Ashton 2009-07-11 15:58:41 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Unspecified Linux

What would be a nice feature is if the speech system could speak events and reminders, examples;

"You have a new email from John."

"You have an appointment in three hours with the Dentist."

"Good morning, Jack. Today is the 13th of May. You have 11 new messages."

User name, date, appointments, emails could be read out.

Dante,

some of this is possible already by setting notifications in apps to speak the notifications. KMail could probably do with some enhanced notifications that say "You have a new e-mail from %sender%" or somesuch.

Currently you should be able to turn on time notifications from any plasma clock in the General tab also, though I'd like to improve that a bit also.

P.S. thanks for the comment on the blog too.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
