It would be great if Kmail gave an option to show contact's photo from Kaddressbook in the header space of messages.

I'm pretty sure the Fancy headers already does this.
Enterprise headers might also.

i can't find it in KDE 4.7.4

work fine here.
4.7.4 is outdated.
test with 4.8.4 or 4.9

so from kde  4.8.4 on, you see contact pictures in the email header if you choose "Fancy"?
what is it in german? "Grafisch" or "Dekorativ"?
