Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Soft Reset Failed, Device Not Ready, it only seems to do it on Kubuntu 9.04, I am currently using Kubuntu 8.10 and it does not do it on this version, is there something in bios I don't have setup right?

It is't a KDE issue. You should ask to the Ubuntu support.
