Uninstall the facebook plugin, for now. :-( *** Bug 199438 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 200658 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198124 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I hit this bug when I upgraded my KDE to latest snapshot and left my facebook plugin installed from source. Once I rebuilt facebook plugin, it went away. Does the Ubuntu build system rebuild packages automatically? Since it is not part of the KDE4.3 distribution I would assume this is not the case. *** Bug 200814 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I am now using the new compiled packages from jaunty. I can confirm that it does not crash on startup. Now it crashes on shutdown (which is an improvement). Unfortunately I dont know what I am missing to produce a useful backtrace. I only get: Application: Kopete (kopete), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 0x00000000 in ?? () #7 0xb7d9b520 in ~Account (this=0xa86e988) at /build/buildd/kdenetwork-4.2.98/kopete/libkopete/kopeteaccount.cpp:123 #8 0xb7de9275 in ~PasswordedAccount (this=0xa86e988) at /build/buildd/kdenetwork-4.2.98/kopete/libkopete/kopetepasswordedaccount.cpp:42 #9 0xb2789759 in ?? Thanks *** Bug 203137 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** In kubuntu karmic using kde 4.3. I experience crash in 2 scenario. 1. When now listening plugin is enabled and amarok is playing. 2. On changing status to offline via toolbar. Other than that facebook plugin works normally. And disabling facebook plugin did not work. I had to remove it. For Kubuntu users there's a new package to test in karmic-proposed (kopete-facebook 0.1.4-0ubuntu1.1). Is anyone still having this crash with the latest code from http://github.com/dmacvicar/kopete-facebook or with the new package? It does not crash anymore. Nice. |
