I wanted to set tags automatically when I receive messages to remove my old folder based structure (which is is too unflexible). The problem is that I can only mark messages through the filter. This list doesn't show my tags but stuff like ham, important and so on.

It would also be nice to mark messages with the same tags used in my kaddressbook for people... or be able to scan a message through an external program which produces a list of tags which is added to the message.

The "Add Tag" action in a filter is already implemented and will be available with KDE 4.4
