I have not actually tried it, the "remove contact" function in the Facebook plugin is a bit confusing. As I user I do not know if this means that the contact will be removed from Kopete or does it mean this contact will be removed as my Facebook contact? I believe in most cases people only want to remove the contact from Kopete. So there should be two options. 
"Do not show in Kopete"-> contact remains in Facebook
"Remove contact" -> Contact is removed on Facebook, but user needs to confirm this and is pointed to the alternative.

I don't plan implement a separate contact list for Kopete and for Facebook. If I figure how, I may implement editing the friend lists that are used for chat locally.

I will certainly fix the issue that removes a contact does nothing, and in the worst case I will popup not supported.

Since facebook now uses jabber, this can be considered resolved. There is a seperate issue, that facebook doesnt allow clients to move or delete contacts, which applies here.
