The inbox will appear as soon as you fetch mail from a POP3 server. What would be the purpose of this "feature"? > What would be the purpose of this "feature"?
Apparently the purpose is to not confuse IMAP users.
Confuses POP3 users, however...
Actually the inbox folder appeared after I created an receiving account. If had created the account prior to importing my mail, I would have been unaware of this wrinkle. It would seem that it is best not to ignore the wizard even though creating an account is trivial and your priority is to save your previous mail. |
