Not really a bug, more like a wish, but this is Konsole and every wish ends up being a bug nightmare, so..

Konsole tabs should not light up; instead hover should light up new and close tab buttons. The entire rewrite has bothered me since the beginning, however one cannot fault usability somehow. That and the size of the new tabs.

Easily done and usably I think it would improve the blandness of the current xterm containers uh, container.

Current behaviour has a difficulty with changing tabs because highlight has a tendency to keep now in mind, with now not being the tab I actually want, like, now. But then maybe I need a new one open, and there is no reference activity on the user's part. Highlights apparently suck when applied in a contrary fashion to user's expected operation. 

Maybe a move from the default position of lower-left corner to upper-left for tabbar? Another day, another report.

The look and feel of tabs in Konsole depends on the current look and feel set for all KDE applications.  Please file bug reports about the default style, Oxygen, against the 'oxygen' product.

You can change this in System Settings by going to Appearance -> Style and selecting a different style.  If you want something plain and functional, I would recommend the Cleanlooks or Plastique styles.    

The look of tabs with KDE 4's default style has been refined in KDE 4.3.
