whoops, I forgot: on http://img34.imageshack.us/i/livelloa.jpg/ and http://img146.imageshack.us/i/livellob.jpg/ you can see what I was trying to explain. Its called Optional Content (or Optional Content Group - OCGs). Poppler has it, and I have a patch for it since long; the only problem is that when toggling a layer the page is not refreshed, since we cannot know (at least so far) which page are interested by the toggling of that layer. Refresh them all then don't see that as a huge problem. I use layers with the Adobe reader and would really like to see this feature in okular.
