Version:           0.10.0 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-13-server

If I export images to a remote Gallery (Gallery 2) and do a local resize (via option available in the plugin) the exif information (especially camera and geo) is lost. This seems similar to a very old bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129856 that was already solved (0.8.2-rc1).

I have fixed personally this issue with current implementation from svn (kipi-plugins 0.4.0)
