Is this still valid in KDE 4.3 or newer? It gtalk one its fine. But broken for yahoo still. we've made some avatar fixes for Yahoo in KDE SC 4.4. Please reopen if one of those fixes does not address this bug. Is the fix part of kde 4.4 rc1? If yes then this bug is not fixed. Kopete in kde 4.4 rc1 has the Photo source options disabled except the Custom one. I tried 4.4rc2. Its not displaying contact pictures for all users. Tested Yahoo! protocol on KDE SC 4.4.0, same thing...I can't see contact pictures for all users. I also don't see nicknames for any of my contacts, don't know if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm using KDE 4.5 on Kubuntu 10.04, Facebook: Contact avatars from Facebook (via jabber protocol) are flakey, and don't always load for all contacts - where a contact avatar fails to load, the user can cause it to load by selecting 'user information', then the missing avatar loads. Yahoo!: Avatar support not functioning, not possible to choose avatar, not shown in user information. Windows Live Messenger: Avatar support functioning correctly. GaduGadu: No avatar support - see: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210059 Skype: No avatar support (but API means it should now be possible - Pidgin has it). See: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=221537 (which should now be re-opened). *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Hello from the KDE Bugsquad! Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete. Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo. |
