ah, this is something that should have been fixed some days ago (193042 and its dupes) ... but before r986105 sooo, there is still some problem in that area, sigh :( @Marco: Is this related to the latest Aaron blog post? FiNeX: yes, exactly :) SVN commit 986504 by aseigo: adding items can result in a change in strategy, prepare for it. (with my changes from the other day, these bugs are at least becoming easy to figure out; in this case groupManager == 0 means it was changed on us, making the fix evident) BUG:197717 M +5 -0 abstractgroupingstrategy.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=986504 *** Bug 198046 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198208 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198223 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198217 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198275 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198279 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198489 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198486 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198660 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198627 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198682 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198717 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198760 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198603 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198527 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 198798 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This bug seems still present in latest Karmic packages (Jaunty probably too). I had this problem once with Jaunty, about one week ago, and today same crash again on Karmic, with latest updates. This time I was closing firefox, in Jaunty I believe it was some other program, but I don't think it's relevant. Well, according to "it's fixed with kdebase-workspace-4.2.95-7 update in Fedora10/11" looks like it's now a Kubuntu Packaging/Patch issue. You might consider to file a bug on their Bugtracker.
