Thanks for the suggestion! I agree that this sounds very reasonable from a user's point of view. But I'm afraid this would not be easy to implement, and it would add a lot of complexity to the code (the calculation of the required size would have to be done separately for every file type). Moreover, I don't know if it's actually possible to read files partially over a network connection. Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Thank you for the bug report.
