I have several files with names like "Symphony #5 1st Movement.mp3" that Amarok refuses to play. The files get added to the collection database just fine, and I can add them to the playlist (either using the collection or the file browser), but when trying to play them, nothing happens. When I rename such a file, e.g. replacing "#" with "No.", everything works; similarly, when I add a "#" to the name of a file, Amarok won't play it anymore. This leads me to conclude that the character "#" is the problem.

Steps to reproduce:
Rename an audio file "something.mp3" to "something#.mp3" and (try to) play it with Amarok.

Additional test done to rule out a problem with the filesystem:
I tested this both with files on an NTFS partition (ntfs-3g driver) and on my JFS home partition, in both cases the problem is exactly the same. 

Previous versions:
Amarok 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 exhibited the same behaviour; I'm not sure about versions before that.

Same here, happens with dragonplayer too.
It's a bug in the phonon-xine backend
