Version:            (using KDE 4.2.90)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Just update from 4.2.4 to KDE 4.3.0beta2 and now Kopete cannot send anymore messages to group of contacts! How can I enable again that function? The menu entry is greyed out. Is this something intentional or is it a bug?

Still applies to RC1. I wonder if this is something upstream or only distro related

I'm migrating to Psi until this bug is fixed (or at least I have an official answer). Thanks for your good work with Kopete anyway

There's an issue with the selection update with the new contact list code that's present in KDE 4.3.

I've also got this problem for a while now. Currently running Kopete Version 0.80.2 using KDE 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2) on Fedora 12 beta but I've had the problem with earlier versions too (KDE 4.3.1 on Fedora 11 for example).

The protocol I'm using is Jabber. I don't know (and are currently not able to test) if it applies to other protocols too.

Also it doesn't seem like it's distro specific unless Fedora is having the same problem as Ubuntu. ;-)

Debian with KDE 4.3.2 has this issue also (greyed out option), and I'd like to have that functionality back in Kopete; I had it previously in KDE 4.2.x.

Still having this issue with KDE SC 4.4 beta 2 / Kopete 0.99.80 on Fedora 12.
