Description Thomas Domenig 2009-06-11 16:41:11 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

When copying files from CD or MP3 player to NTFS, Dolphin informs you that it couldn't change the permissions of the file just copied. Dolphin is apparently not able to apply this specific permissions and informs the user, which is a good thing theoretically. However, having this message displayed on every new copied file, after clicking OK, is pretty annoying. Hence, it would be nice to have an option like "do not show this information again" or at least suppress this alert for the copy operation just started, therewith you have to read and click this annoying message only once during a copy operation.

A little late, but I found it annoying too. I happens with Dolphin, not tested with Konqueror. It's not only with NTFS, happens with FAT32 too.

And it happens not only from CD or pluggable devices, but when copying from my ext4 FS too
