Description S. Burmeister 2009-06-11 12:56:38 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

If one mounts a usb stick and copies a lot of data to it, the progress dialogue gets to 100% quite quickly, yet the copying does not start yet.

If one uses the "remove safely" action, the writing starts, yet because the amount of data might need longer than the dbus timeout, the user gets an error notification.

This reminds me of https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=105871 which was about mounting hotplugged devices without "sync".

Expected behaviour: mount devices in a way that writing data starts immediately and "100% done" is only shown after all of the data is actually written to the device.

If this is a kio issue please re-assign.
