Sentry Crash Report:

Description Arnout Boelens 2009-06-09 20:19:10 UTC
Version: 0.70.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.29-2-686

Under the "Video" tab of the Kopete configuration I can select my webcam device "USB2.0 Camera" and Input "Ali m5602", but I cannot set the video standard. Also, in the kopete configuration I can see myself in the webcam, but I cannot find a "send webcam" button anywhere when I am chatting. I assume this is a consequence of not being able to set the video standard?

video standard setting has nothing to do with not being able to send the webcam to anybody, as for most protocols, it's not implemented or was lost during the port to KDE 4.

It's possible that only one video standard is supported and that's why you can't change the video standard. I'll need to look at the code to make sure.

Webcams usually don't provide analog signal support. That's why the there is no signal standard selectable for your device.
If you try for example with a bttv-device, you will see a filled combobox.
So this part of the bug-report is invalid.

Which protocol do you use for chatting ?

No reply since three months, so I have to assume that you were trying to use one of those protocols, for which Kopete currently provides no video support.
Feel free to reopen this bug if you are sure that this is not the case.
