Description Khashayar 2009-06-08 10:15:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

(Note: Although this bug is filed against 4.2.4, the problem is still there on 4.3beta1. For some reasons beta1 was not available from the list of available KDE versions, and choosing beta2 would not allow me to continue.)

There is no possibility in the display configuration utility to setup an extended desktop (e.g. something like `xrandr --output LVDS --left-of VGA`). This is the case with at least intel hardware. Not sure about other cards.

the funny part is that the "position" option is there, although greyed-out, for displays that are disabled.

I'm testing this on Ubuntu Karmic, and they've packaged KDE 4.3beta1 as of yet. I will take another look when they update to beta2.

By the way, I guess this bug should be filed against the kcm_randr module. But I can't find a way to change that now.

I can now confirm this bug also lives in KDE 4.3Beta2.
