Description ned 2009-06-07 14:36:41 UTC
Version: 4.x (using KDE 4.2.4)

It would be good to have some session management for servers/channels in konversation.

It's currently possible to set default servers and channels on startup, however this has limited use, especially if, like me, you often spend a few days working on one project, then move on to another (ie. #drupal, #mediawiki, #lad, etc).

Two possible solutions:
1. Just save all tabs on exit - or better, on any tab change, so that they're saved even if konversation crashes.

2. Implement a proper session management, like firefox or kate, where a user can choose to save the session on exit, and choose whether to open a clean session, the last session, or a previously saved session on startup.

Solution 2 would probably be slightly more useful for some people, but the extra work it would take (and bloat it would add) would probably make it not worth it.
