*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 191412 *** I am not sure if I can report here but after installation all new development version KDE 4.3.85 the plasma desktop crashes when opening the a new KDE session : the desktop starts to install untill I see The KMenu icon in the displayed window then I get a black screen ; otherwise I can use all the KDE 4.3.85 application from a Gnome session. Some more information : I collect a "knotify4 segmentation error" with no way to issue a bug report with relevant data as stated by the system. I will now explain how I came to this : - I decided to test KDE 4.3.85 : after upgrading from KDE 4.3.4 when opening a KDE session I experienced the described bug. What I have done since previous bug report : - I deleted all KDE 4.3.85 packages and reinstalled KDED 4.3.2 the currently Karmic supported version. Now when opening a KDE session I still collect the same bug which does not makes sense. Can you please provide a fix that would not lead me to a fresh Karmic reinstallation of Kubuntu Thanks |
