It would be a huge usability boost if you could view not just folders, but messages in tabs, and quite possibly both HTML and plain text versions of messages that have both.

Please add an option to open Kmail messages in tabs when middle-clicking on
them in the message list. Thanks!

Note that the Thunderbird email client has this feature.

I also badly want this feature, as a thunderbird user I got used to it and don't want to miss it.
