Sentry Crash Report:

Description Oliver Putz 2009-06-02 23:21:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Once a bug was filed, it is possible to click on a link in the bugreport and have bugzilla search for duplicate bugreports. I think it would be great to have such a functionality for arbitrary backtraces.

Currently one has to manually copy & paste some lines from the backtrace and paste line by line in the "text contains" search field of the advanced bug search form. This is very tedious and error prone.

What about an extra page where you just paste the backtrace and hit a button that essentially runs the simple duplicate finder functionality on the text pasted in the form on that page?

This was implemented some time ago.
