Amarok crashed on startup immediately after the spash appeared, without showing any GUI (main window).

The reporter of bug 188602 (similar/same crash) said that reinstalling xine solved this issue (it was an installation problem). Could you check this ?

Updating xine solved the problem, amarok doesn't crash anymore.
