Sentry Crash Report:

Description Oren Held 2009-06-01 00:42:40 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I tend to manually decrease the brightness (using my keyboard's brightness control keys).

When power profile changes, like in a low battery situation, PowerDevil sets the new brightness level as config'd in the profile, *regardless* of whether the brightness was *lower* than the profile settings.

So in effect, if I set brightness to minimum, on low battery event the brightness would go UP.

I have the same problem here. There should be a possibility to disable brightness adjustment from PowerDevil. Furthermore PowerDevil should check if the brightness is lower than determined for the lower energy profile.
