Version:           3.2.3 (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Open with Kate file "firefox.txt" in HOME directory (length=1.6Kb).
File was created under WinXP and contain cp-1251 text + english phrases.
Enable Kate plugins: explorer, search, terminal.
Message:

The application Kate (kate) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

Reproduced when open again.

Kwrite editor open this file, but Crashes too on switch editor encoding.
OOO open this file without problems.
