Description robert_ng 2009-05-30 22:29:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When i connect a digital Camera (HP R607, MassStorageClass mode), i get the usual window asking me what to do, once i click *Open in new Window* i get this Error:
"Unbekannter Fehlercode 50
Unspecified error" (german locale)
Also, i cant acess the camera in any way, no mount points are created nor does anything else work.

Other USB storage devices seem to work, the camera works on other PCs and worked on this PC before with an older version of KDE.

System is Kubuntu9.04-Kde3, pretty much in as-shipped state, with all current updates applied.

I have the same problem with opensuse 11.0/kde 3.5/9 release 49.1.
My solution which works is
1) login as root
2) create a dir: mkdir /media/camera
3) close the camera and connect again to the PC
4) open the camera in kde. It connects to system:/media/sdb1/dcim/108_pana or something similar and you can download your photos.

sincerely

Georges
