Description Patrick Fehr 2009-05-30 10:37:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The title says it all.
After opening kmail, approx 15 seconds after, the process kio_sieve just uses 50% (100% of one of the two cores) and thus drives up my cpu heat and fan speed a lot, I can only revert that if I close kmail totally.

Looks related to bug 186455 / bug 194459. Thanks

yes, if you want, you can make it a duplicate of them.
I found out, that it comes from "Kmail -> Tools - >Edit Away-message".
Because when I click it, nothing seems to happen, but I guess the process tries to receive the Away-Message from the Mail-Server but does never succed. It then still retries upon the next kmail openning.

I removed the imap account in question, put it back in and everything worked fine again (but of course I could still not change the away-message but would not try it because then I would come to the above situation again, of course).

Best regards
