Version:            (using KDE 4.2.3)
Compiler:          gcc-4.3.2 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

example:

Configfile is: /home/user/.kde4.2/share/config/konquerorrc

i copy this file to /home/user.kde4.2/share/config/konquerorrc_css_foo
and change the Optinon "UserStyleSheetEnabled=false"

then i start konqueror with the changed config file
konqueror --config /home/user/.kde4.2/share/config/konquerorrc_css_foo

but it starts with the default config file ... and the stylesheet is enabled again

if i change the Option in the orginal config , the changes do efect.

This seems to be a general KDE problem. Any application I tried (krusader, konsole, ark and one I wrote on my own) does not use the alternative rc-file.

I'm using Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.2 / Qt 4.5.2.

The 'config' option to use an alternate rc file does not exist any more.
There's a 'profile' option to load different settings which could be a replacement. This one works for me.
