Description Georg Greve 2009-05-25 14:54:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

In relation to #194026 ("Unified timeline for (all/selected) microblogging platforms") it would also be good to be able to reply from the twitter account to the identi.ca account to make sure that both accounts are kept in sync (twitter is updated from identi.ca) and identi.ca users can see the response to the twitter message - providing a home field advantage for Open Micro Blogging.

It's a user specific situation!
Comment 2 Georg Greve 2009-05-25 17:41:51 UTC
This situation exists for all users with accounts on Identi.ca and Twitter who use Twitter to reach out to a wider public while endorsing Identi.ca as the primary platform.

This seems true for a large part, potentially the majority of Free Software users on Identi.ca, and I suspect that several of them would appreciate this feature.
Comment 3 Karsten Gerloff 2009-05-25 18:23:00 UTC
For the record, I'm also interested in this feature.
Comment 4 Matthias Kirschner 2009-05-25 18:34:59 UTC
I am also interested in this feature.
Comment 5 Mehrdad Momeny 2009-06-09 22:37:28 UTC
But you can reply to that user via Identica! so it will send to Twitter as well!
Comment 6 Georg Greve 2009-06-10 10:15:57 UTC
Yes, that is the idea.

There is an automatic bridge from Identi.ca to Twitter. This is a desired effect, as otherwise all messages always have to be sent to both accounts individually, doubling the effort, and quadrupling the annoyance.

So I want to be able to reply to a user on Twitter, but have the reply go to Identi.ca (which will then auto-forward to Twitter) for users on both services to be able to see it.

Thank you for the bug report.

As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists.

If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Comment 8 Christoph Cullmann 2025-06-09 20:08:16 UTC
Choqok is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/network/choqok

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
