Description Salazar 2009-05-21 18:00:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

My keyboard (Dell SK-8135) has a volume-control-wheel (connected via global shortcut "XF86AudioRaise/LowerVolume" to KMix). If I keep the left mouse-button pressed and turn the volume-control on my keyboard the keyboard will not accept inputs anymore. I have to log-off and log-on (shutdown is not required) to get my keyboard back working.

Can you check if your problem is related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171685 . Especially if the workarounds like

  - left clicking the window icon
  - opening the window menu

make your keyboard respond again.
