Version:            (using KDE 4.2.85)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

After update from 4.2 to 4.3beta all my plasma settings get lost. I know that you moved the configuration from plasmarc to plasma-desktoprc, but why didn't plasma check the plasmarc if plasma-desktoprc is missing and convert the settings to the new layout?

i don't find the bug but this is a bug in kdelibs because there is a script to handle the migration but it is not launched correctly

when i say that i don't find the bug, this is more that i don't find the related bugreport because i opened one closed as dupplicate some years ago, i will try to find it.

i doubt this will ever be fixed, now that we approach kde 4.5. i'm closing this (please reopen if somebody wants to fix it)
