What I was doing when the application crashed:
Tried to take a screenshot of a video that's playing in SMPlayer to demonstrate video tearing for another bug I'm writing, but lo and behold, a crash. 

Video was playing (and tearing). I pressed Prt Sc. I waited and waited...but nothing happened. Finally I exited the video and wam. I get 20+ screenshot apps starting to load, and a crash message.
