Description Gabe A 2009-05-19 05:10:38 UTC
Version: 1.2.80 (using 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.29-02062903-generic

After playing a video preview in dolphin, simply try to play the file in SMPlayer (Qt) and it won't play the audio. However, if the video hasn't been played first in preview, audio will play fine.

Doesn't seem to affect Dragon Player, but since it's KDE's stock video player, that's to be expected.

This seems independent of desktop effects, as the same occurs with desktop effects off.

Kubuntu Jaunty KDE4.3 beta1

From log:
[AO OSS] audio_setup: Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
Audio: no sound

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce this issue with KDE SC 4.5.0. This issue is also out of scope of Dolphin, as the handling of the audio is fully done by Phonon/Qt.
