Version: 2.2.2 (using 4.2.3 (KDE 4.2.3), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

...because I always have to search my virtual desktops where I put my drop target last time ;-)

I really consider this more as a bug than a wish. Or is there some reason why it is implemented that way?

I, for one, would hate it if the drop target was visible on all desktops. I use it for a specific set of downloads where I actually want to be able to queue them. I don't use it for most downloads and it would just get in the way if it were on all desktops. With it on one, it can be with my windows that are actually going to be used with it.

Now, I have no problem with there being an option to make it appear on all desktops, but I'd want to be able to still choose for it to be one one desktop only. The thing is that the drop target is basically a special window, but it lacks the normal operations which can be used to manipulate a window (such as selecting which desktops for it to be on). I don't know how those standard operations could be added cleanly since it doesn't have a separate title bar, but that's essentially what you'd need to make it so that we can properly tell it which desktops it will be on and such.

Please extend the settings dialog to configure the drop target. If it should be visible at all desktops or only on specific ones - or only one one desktop. This way we can satisfy everyone ;-)

It is defo a Wishlist, as it is not wrong behavior after all... having it as a config option/on all desktops is a wish...
