What I was doing when the application crashed:
contact crashes every time on first startup. If the application is started again, kontact starts normally

If you can reproduce at will, can you install the "kdepim-debuginfo" package to paste a new backtrace here ? Thanks

I installed the packages and since then I was not able to crash it !? I will give it a few days, if it is not reproducible i will close the bug. Promised :-)
