Here using: Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy 958974) KDE: 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)) kdelibs svn rev. 967040 / kdebase svn rev. 967041 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.2 I can't reproduce the freeze on the testcase URL. For me that happens on http://markmail.org/message/szknz37yf7qg7mr2 Konqueror freezes consuming 100% of CPU. Konqueror Version 4.2.3 (KDE 4.2.3) Using KDE 4.2.3 (KDE 4.2.3) Fedora 10 x386 with *all* updates (including testing) installed and NVIDIA driver. Here using: Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy 971295) KDE: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)) kdelibs svn rev. 978201 / kdebase svn rev. 978202 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.4 Konqueror doesn't freeze on the testcase URL from comment 3 neither. Do you do something else besides loading that URL, may be clicking at some place? Thanks No, Konqueror hangs as soon as you visit this page (no user interaction required). I suppose in KHTML 4.3 this issue has been already resolved, so only KDE 4.2.x users are still affected. I can give you a SSH login to my PC if you are willing to investigate this issue. There are not going to be more 4.2 releases so as it is fixed on KDE4.3 codebase I'm closing the report as WORKSFORME
