Description doc.evans 2009-05-12 15:12:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The System Settings | Advanced | Desktop Theme Details dialogue allows one to replace an individual part of a theme with a user file.

However, as it stands, this useful-looking dialogue is useless, because there seems to be no description of the format(s) that KDE is expecting for the various kinds of files.

In fact, this dialogue seems to have no Help available at all :-(

True, I asked the developer to write some doc a few months ago, I wish he could do it in the next days, even in text format, the doc team will convert to docbook. Doc freeze is a few days ahead so there is still some time.
For the doc team to write the doc, it needs a real knowledge of how this works and this is way easier for the developer.
CCing him in the report and hoping for the best! Andrew, just send any text to me or attach to this report, thanks.

Thanks for the ping. Sorry I haven't had much time to work on the 4.3 release. I will, however, work to get some kind of documentation (probably just text) ready by 18th. Hopefully this will be enough time.

Thanks again.

KDE 4.2.2 is pretty old. I'm on 5.20.5 (per Info Center).

I'm closing this bug. Info Center documentation is sketchy here and there, but adequate.
