I was able to start kde without any problems with a full gdm display, confirming the problem is specific to xnest. Reassigning to KStyle+Oxygen (but it could be a kdelibs issue (kshortcuteditor)) Praveen, could you install the Qt debug packages and, if you can reproduce the crash, show us the backtrace with Qt symbols visible? The display is also wierd. A screenshot of the display is also attached.
