Critical - data loss Probably related to bug:191774 Not reproducible here... Which download settings use use exactly ? Look debug messages on the console... Gilles Caulier Camera file name: Change to small Rotate or mirror(?) automatically NO messages on console! No problem to copy/paste all files (ctrl-c, ctrl-v) You need to enable debug messages with kdebugdialog. Enable code 50003. kdebugdialog already had code 50003 enabled (but it is the kde4 version) running kde3 version had no such message, enabled all... Tried to download from a SD flash (Nikon D40) - output below, verified the download and noticed that ONE image was missing. Different media, different camera (but still Nikon), same external reader => same problem... (will try to connect cameras and download from them) Exif orientation tag set to: 1 Exif Orientation: 1 Exif Orientation: 1 Exif Orientation: 1 Exif Orientation: 1 Exif Orientation: 1 Failed to load embedded RAW preview Exif Orientation: 1 Failed to load embedded RAW preview Exif Orientation: 1 Failed to load embedded RAW preview Exif Orientation: 1 Failed to load embedded RAW preview Exif Orientation: 1 Failed to load embedded RAW preview Exif Orientation: 1 Yesterday, i have downloaded more than 270 RAW files taken with my Dynax 5D during a friend birthday event. All work fine here. Nothing is lost. Tryied on both computer : one with my camera directly un UMS mode, another one with a CF reader. Gilles Caulier ultimate test - copied all files from media to disk add pictures (Ctrl-I) Same picture is missing dsc_1327.jpg Noticed a sorting error - in its place there is another file csc_1337.jpg (black and white) It looks like this ... <- here should csc_1337.jpg be dsc_1330.jpg dsc_1329.jpg csc_1337.jpg <- here should dsc_1327.jpg be dsc_1325.jpg I can confirm this bug. I have also realized such behavior. I have same KDE and digikam version, but a 32bit system. When I import pictures from a Canon Digital IXUS 430 some pictures are forgotten. All pictures in the import dialog get downloaded, but when I disconnet the camera and browse in the camera there are still some pictures. Mostly around 2-4 pictures, out of 100-150 that I download. When I connect the camera again and open the import dialog I see the pictures. Sometimes I need to repeat disconnect and reconnecting again to get also the last picture. Somebody as already see this problem with KDE4 version ? Here nothing is reproducible... Gilles Caulier I recommend to test with current code from svn (digiKam 0.11.0) where i have fixed a lots of bugs. Thanks in advance for your help Gilles Caulier Roger, Yes, this entry is related to #191774 It's more complicated to fix it under KDE3. For KDE4, this file is fixed now, as #191774 Gilles Caulier SVN commit 972635 by cgilles: fix sort of items, as KDE4.
