A suggested step would be updating to a stable released version (like KDE 4.2.2) instead of a beta.

@kt: are you getting the same error message. I can't reproduce with today's trunk (KDE4.3) in the site you mentioned.

Tested with kde 4.2.2 on debian. At the moment can't try further version.
