Description Jeffrey 2009-05-01 14:22:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I would like any text that is displayed within KDE to be copyable, so that one can copy/paste error messages or instructions or whatever.

For example, currently in my SystemSettings > Advanced > Power Management, there is a paragraph "The power management cannot be started, since there seems to be a problem with PowerDevil Daemon...." This text goes on and although it may be common enough that no one needs me to past to them, I don't have the option of even highlighting the text.

Perhaps this option shouldn't be available for button text, since trying to copy that (which is usully short anyways) might cause the button to be pressed, or trying to press the button might cause a text copy.

Likely candidates for stuff that maybe shouldn't be copyable by definition:
-buttons (but yes for checklists or radio button options)
-task manager "windows"
-window manager text
-tooltips would occasionally be nice to copy, but possibly not worthwhile

Thanks for KDE!
